Set in a small town in West Texas, four boyhood friends who made a solemn promise to leave town together immediately after high school graduation must now "put up or shut up." The clock is ticking, and as all 81 people in town watch, offer advice, and place bets, these four very different boys struggle with the biggest decision of their lives . . . whether to stay or leave home...。该片讲述了1949年4月下旬，国民党军长江防线被突破，解放军乘胜南下，准备一鼓作气拿下中国的金融中心上海。但是，这座当时被称为“远东第一城”的大都市，却给当时的共产党人出了一道难题：如何才能将城市破坏和人民伤亡降到最低？故事的叙述由此展开。。张麻子夜钓黑水坑，钓上死鱼与银长命锁。此后村中怪事不断：枕下现鱼鳞、家禽惨死、村民疯癫，众人传是坑里东西用金银钓人。张麻子不肯信邪，坚持追查，最终发现真相 —— 是王裁缝因儿子溺水时张麻子见死不救，故意设局报复，故事在悬疑中尽显人性。。
