In upstate New York, two teenage boys are tasked with cleaning out their father's old mobile home on an abandoned property, but the boys are in for a surprise when they discover three crooks on the run have taken refuge in the trailer.。本片主要讲述了上世纪八零年代的一个爱情故事，女主角孟小薇与男主角李蔷相爱，然而她们的爱情却遭到了父母的坚决反对，为了追求自己的幸福，孟小薇决定和李蔷私奔，两人相约三天以后在村口的大槐树下集合一起南下广州打工，眼看日期临近，孟小薇的父亲因为上山打猎误将本村的哑巴当野猪打死，一家人陷入困境中孟小薇陷入僵局，面对亲情与爱情她将如何抉择，她的命运也因为这次事件而彻底转变。。
