丹（亚当·佩里 Adam Pally 饰）在一所大学里担任着教授的职务，虽然名号听上去十分风光，但实际上，丹在学校里并不受同事和学生们的欢迎，因为智商远超越常人的他时常流露出许多怪异的想法和举动。不仅如此，在他那充满了商业精英和成功者的家族里，学术成就累累的丹丝毫不值得一提，被归属为失败者的范畴之内。 内心十分郁闷的丹发明了时间旅行机器，希望能够回到过去，改变自己失忆的人生。与此同时，一位名叫克里斯（Yassir Lester 饰）的在学校中人气极高的老师也在时间机器的作用之下回到了过去，但等待着他的却是和丹截然相反的遭遇。。Carrie and Justin Palmer are the perfect couple to everyone around them.
