White Lies is described as an “urgent exploration of race and privilege, inequality and identity.” Set in the wealthy neighbourhood of Bishopscourt, Cape Town, the series is described as following investigative journalist Edie Hansen (Dormer) as she gets caught up in the ugly underbelly that lies beneath the picturesque beauty of the city, dragging her back to a turbulent past....。男主张全忠（严羽鑫饰）曾混迹黑道，却因给老大背锅落入监狱。出狱后浪子回头，去富豪老板公司当司机，被老板千金看中成为贴身保镖。旧老大仍想召回得力助手做毒品交易，绑架千金小姐要挟张全忠。同时警方也怀疑张全忠再次效力黑道。最后张全忠一石二鸟成功解救人质并将毒贩一网打尽。并且在这一事件中令千金小姐对他芳心暗许，最终有情人终成眷属。 这是一部融合了爱情，警匪争斗，邪与正的人性对抗的影片，本片由严羽鑫，张唯等主演。。
