博士魏国（许烨 饰）近来喜事连连，洋妻爱玛（玛利娅 饰）出资成立科贸公司，而董事长就是夫君魏国，且爱玛既将临产，他马上荣升父亲，可谓双喜临门。问题是即将来伺候月子的是东北农村的老妈（李静 饰），观念天差地别的婆媳从此生活在了一起。家中添丁喜坏了婆婆，可儿媳对她饨的猪蹄汤和鲫鱼汤并不感冒，除了可乐她及乎不喝别的东西，婆婆熬制的任何东西儿媳都会倒掉。城门失火，殃及池鱼，雇来的保姆兰兰被炒掉了，究其原因是婆婆舍不得每月1000元的保姆费。兰兰走了，新的问题接踵而至，爱玛要婴儿用尿不湿，而婆婆则坚持用自已做的传统尿布，面对婆媳争端，魏国只好站出来了......。該片由俄羅斯國家杜馬的獨立議員斯·戈沃魯欣執導。 A very typical post-Soviet era storyline.
