该剧讲述了上世纪30年代的上海滩，外科医生兰心茹因为一次意外卷入了日本侵略者、国民党、共产党及黑帮等多重势力斗争中的故事。。一场星际浩劫后两个外星生物被意外送到了地球，打乱了丁小八原本正常的生活。在帮助外星生物脱离险境的过程中，从小青梅竹马的丁小八和牛秀娟也坚定彼此的爱情。Video artist Ryosuke visits the suburb of Furano in Hokkaido, where his friend lives, in order to shoot a video.
