该剧讲述了一群棒棒军在重庆朝天门码头一带，靠着一根竹棒、两条绳索，下力讨生活的故事。。江家保姆苗淑兰在某次机缘巧合下协助江家拿下百亿订单，并在医院得知儿媳徐莹莹怀孕。却因外人教唆，被徐莹莹误会是苗淑兰自己高龄怀二胎。徐莹莹联合先生李强阻止打压，殊不知苗淑兰借贷卖房，均是为了保住徐莹莹。Series 17 of the world’s biggest, silliest and most explosive car show sees Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May re-invent public transport with a car-based train, smash down buildings using surplus military equipment and celebrate the 50th birthday of the Jaguar E-type.
