Leo, a trans man, and his cis and straight friend, Eleanor, go away for an impromptu weekend trip, during which they uncover old secrets, new challenges, and find the answer to the age-old question: can bad sex and good friends mix?。讲述故事从两个好玩的男女主被绑在一起，去收集物灵的宿书开始，讲述了他们经历的各个物灵的故事。深挖每段情、每个物的内心世界，用爱情线和任务线共同营造出一个和观众“共情”的奇幻世界，而两个带任务的男女主经历了各个物的爱恨贪嗔痴，最后回归自己的情感世界。
