Unwillingly becoming embroiled in the unfinished busine...。20世纪30年代，家住佐贺的女学生希代（松岛菜菜子 饰）毅然选择成为一名随军护士。在经过艰苦的训练后，她如愿在毕业之际收到了应征通知书，于是随同一众胸怀崇高理想的女子赶赴遥远的满洲。谁知现实的残酷很快击碎她的理想，她一度失意地返回祖国，随后又如脱笼的小鸟般返回满洲，并与开拓团的中川亘（西岛秀俊 饰）结为夫妇，生儿育女。未过多久，卢沟桥事变爆发，中日战争正式打响。小小的家庭被战争的魔爪撕得四分五裂，中川应征入伍，希代终日忙碌护理伤员，而他们的孩子则过早离开父母，品尝人世的艰辛。 希代从未想到，这竟是如此残酷和漫长的生死离别……。
