海边上有一个漂亮的聋子姑娘小鸥，他的未婚夫到海的那边打工去了。一年后，未婚夫的妈妈请来了儿子的同学小裁缝给小鸥做嫁衣，因为儿子马上就要回来办婚事了。 小鸥的哥哥和嫂子为了让小鸥能打扮成最漂亮的新娘再一次出海去了。 因为渔村偏远小鸥几乎不和人来往，所以她格外关注家里来的这个陌生人――小裁缝....... 哥哥嫂子不在家的日子里，家里的一切都交给了小欧，小鸥忙碌着做饭、放羊、还要照顾四岁的小侄儿多渔。。Set in the 1930's, this gangster spoof tells the comic tale of a Johnny Kelly (Michael Keaton) who is forced into a life of crime in order to pay for his ailing mother's medical treatment.
