新学年开始，卫斯理认识了转校生林可可。另一边，卫教授从非洲归来，发觉宝甲不翼而飞，逼问之下得知是死对头龟仙人所为，但仙人却无法回忆起弃甲于何处。 可可乃天魔转生，为探求宝甲下落，不惜吸取表姐香香的思想，不料却把香香对卫斯理的爱慕之情也吸收过来，渐渐产生爱意。。Stan and Ollie are charged with delivering the deed to a valuable gold mine to the daughter of a dead prospector. However they reckon without the machinations of her evil guardian Mickey Finn who is determined to have the gold mine for himself and his saloon singer wife Lola.。
