一对父母接到了女儿深夜打来的求救电话：她刚刚不小心撞上了一名行人。两人立刻跳上车，赶往现场，想在别人发现前先赶到。但随着他们驶入这黑暗夜晚的更深处，一个又一个令人不安的真相浮出水面，他们意识到，驾驶在哈洛路上的，也许不止他们一家……。British Army radiation drills at a remote Scottish base attract a subterranean, radioactive entity of unknown nature that vanishes, leaving two severely radiation-burned soldiers... and a "bottomless" crack in the earth. Others who meet the thing in the night suffer likewise, and with increasing severity| it seems to be able to "absorb" radiation from any source, growing bigger...。
