Claudia and Maria, roam the streets of the city of Guatemala. Claudia works at a call center and is uninterested in the world around her. She lives with her activist grandfather, who tries to persuade her to join his cause. Maria unlike Claudia, is more spontaneous and lives with her mother in the outskirts of the city. The chaotic streets are filled with common stories of abus...。在东京经营豆腐店的有马义男（桥爪功 饰），他可爱的孙女鞠子失踪后一直下落不明。这一天警方打来电话，称在某公园垃圾桶内发现一截女性的断臂，旁边还有鞠子的相关证件。不久有人神秘人变声后致电警方，宣称断臂非鞠子本人，鞠子已被埋在另外的地方。沉寂多年的自由记者前畑滋子（中谷美纪 饰）偶然听说鞠子的案件，她通过相熟的总编联系上了断臂的发现人——一起灭门惨案的幸存者冢田真一（滨田龙臣 饰）。在走访有马时，疑似犯罪真凶接连给这个身心饱受创伤的老人打来电话。而在这一过程中，类似的杀人案接连发生。滋子不断追查，渐渐逼近事实真相…… 本片根据宫部美雪的同名原著改编。。
