剧情简介

正值唐朝盛世，女主武则天剿灭异己，执掌天下，巍巍乾坤一派前所未有的气象。时有秀才，名唤唐敖，虽才高八斗，考取探花，但因和叛军徐敬业、骆宾王等人多有瓜葛而被薅夺功名。从此宦途黯淡，性命堪忧。万般无奈之际，唐敖随大舅哥林之洋出海，远赴南洋诸国游历，排遣心中郁结。这一路他们经历了千奇百怪的国家和乡土风情，如传说中的精卫鸟，凡事必将好处让给他人的君子国，长着两张脸的两面国，以及翼民国、鬼国、歧舌国、小人国等怪异国家。莫道胡言乱语，怪力乱神，世间万象也大抵如此…… 本片根据中国古典名著《镜花缘》（清•李汝珍著）改编。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
