剧情简介
外国航路から帰ってきた相良は早速恋人の秋子に電話で求婚した。だが彼女は約束の教会に急ぐ途中、交通事故にあった。夕暮れの教会で相良は秋子をいつまでも待ち続けた－－。四年の月日が流れ、相良は今、横浜でナイトクラブ“スカーレット”を営むかたわら“逃がし屋”をやっていた。そうしたある日、探し続けていた秋子がグエンと名のる男と店にやって来た。グエンの祖国では革命が起り、直ぐ帰国しなければならない彼は、相良にシンガポール行きの船を捜してくれと頼みにきたのだ。冷たい目で秋子を見つめる相良、むろん彼は断った。この気配を、本国からの反グエン派の手先の佐伯は逸早く察し、警察も密出国幇助罪で相良を調べ始めた。そんななかで秋子は毎晩スカーレットに通い、夫の密出国を助けてくれとたのむのだった。やがて捜査状況も一段と厳しくなってきた。かたくなになっていた相良も今は、秋子の幸せの...。Here's a modern-day film noir in which you're never sure what's real and what isn't real. There is a possibility you may get tired of guessing and give up on this film 3/4ths of the way through, as I almost did but it worth finishing.
