雍正年间， 闽粤地区形势动荡，"天鹰帮"敛巨资广纳武林人士，为朝廷一大腹患。南少林也被吸纳其中。雍正决定派他最得意的两位皇子--三阿哥弘时、四阿哥弘历，一文一武、一明一暗兵分两路赶赴南少林，查办天鹰帮一事。雍正命两位皇阿哥出马，意在考察此二人谁可担当国家大任，继承帝业。而两位皇子更是机敏过人，深明雍正之用意。二人为取悦龙颜，呈功于雍正，便使出浑身解数查办天鹰帮与南少林。在此过程中，心狠手辣的弘时视弘历为眼中钉，多次派人暗下毒手，索取弘历性命，以除心头之患。 侠肝义胆的南少林俗家弟子方世玉出手相助，帮弘历逃过一次次劫难和迫害。二人遂结为好友。 而弘时在泉州暗中网罗闽浙总督张信德与其手下，结党营私。他以查办天鹰帮为名，大开杀戒，铲除异己。南少林的玄通方丈被其所迫害致死。弘时从此将自己送上不归路。方世玉也从此视弘时为不共戴天死敌。 弘历在查办天鹰帮的过程中...。John Day is a bank manager and lives with his wife Maria Day.
