豆豆（关培培饰）是刚刚升上一年级的小学生，他有一个哥哥名叫大杆（春晓饰），豆豆对他非常的崇拜，将大杆的一言一行都奉若圣旨。一天，哥哥去参加足球比赛，豆豆带着邻居小兔子（许旨异饰）前去观赛，当哥哥接球失误的时候，豆豆把自己手上的皮球丢给了哥哥，哪知道非但没有讨好到哥哥，反而惹他生气了。 豆豆不小心撞见了哥哥偷偷抽烟，他替哥哥保守了这个秘密，还从爸爸那里偷来香烟送给哥哥，最终结果自然是讨了一顿毒打。学校召开家长会，豆豆的爸爸妈妈有事不能到场，大杆代替他们参加了家长会，在学校的墙报上，大杆看到了豆豆写的一篇作文《哎哟，哥哥》，直到此时，他才明白了弟弟对自己的感情。。The subtitle of Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet’s first feature, from 1965, “Only Violence Helps Where Violence Reigns,” suggests the fierce political program evoked by their rigorous aesthetic. The pretext of the film, set in Cologne, is Heinrich Böll’s novel “Billiards at Half Past Nine,” which they strip down to a handful of stark events and film with a confrontational angularity akin to Bartók’s music that adorns the soundtrack. The subtlest of cues accompany the story’s complex flashbacks. The middle-aged Robert Fähmel tells a young hotel bellhop of persecutions under the Third Reich| his elderly father, Heinrich, an architect famed for a local abbey, recalls the militarism of the First World War, when his wife, Johanna, incurred trouble for insulting the Kaiser. A third-generation Fähmel is considering architecture, just as the exiled brother of Robert’s late wife, returns, only to be met by their former torturer, now a West German official taking part in a celebratory parade of war veterans. Straub and Huillet make the layers of history live in the present tense, which they judge severely.
